The right battery isn’t just about size and price. Terminal position matters too.

Always make sure the battery matches your vehicle’s requirements.

🔧 MONDAY BEFORE & AFTER

Before: a corroded, worn-out starter gear.
After: brand new gear installed, starter fully repaired and tested.

Once the teeth on the starter gear are worn down like this, you'll hear a grinding sound or get no start at all.

We test. We don't guess.

2019 ACURA MDX 3.5L V6 STARTER

Clicking, slow cranking or an engine that will not crank does not automatically mean the starter has failed. A weak battery, poor cable connections or a fault in the starting circuit can cause similar symptoms.

At Island Starters & Alternators, we test the starting system before recommending a repair or replacement. If a new starter is required, we confirm the correct application using your VIN/chassis number.
