🚒 Fire brigades spend a lot of time deciding what equipment should be carried on a vehicle.
👉 But 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝?
At INTERSCHUTZ, we spoke with hundreds of firefighters, vehicle manufacturers, and converters.
One thing became clear: As more equipment moves onto vehicle roofs, accessibility is becoming just as important as storage capacity.
A ladder that takes too long to deploy.
A tool container that requires climbing.
A rescue boat that is difficult to handle.
A fire truck carrying plenty of equipment that is not immediately accessible.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫: "𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲?"
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬: "𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐲, 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧?"
This is why we have completely redesigned our Fire & Rescue webpage. 🔥 Not to talk about products, but to explain the different deployment concepts, equipment configurations, and vehicle architectures available to modern fire brigades.
Because the best equipment in the world is only useful if it can be accessed when it is needed.
