GT4 Misano : Haverans de l'enfer au paradis 🥉

Michiel Haverans et l'équipe Floral sont passés par toutes les émotions ce week-end en GT4 European à Misano. En course 1, alors accroché au podium, le duo de la Ford Mustang N°68 a dû abandonné à trois minutes de l'arrivée. Mais en course 2, Haverans et son équipier américain Sam Paley se vengeaient en terminant à la 3e place, derrière les deux Audi R8 du team Speedcar. Les Belges étaient en verve ce dimanche en Italie. Déjà 6e samedi, Lucas Cartelle, associé à Hudson Schwartz sur la Toyota CRT N°87, terminait 6e, devant Yani Stevenheydens (McLaren Elite N°77) qui avait pris la 5e position dimanche. Moins de réussite en revanche pour Nathan Vanspringel (Ford Academy N°61), 16e samedi avant d'abandonner dimanche. Prochaine manche les 18-20 septembre à Zandvoort. (MB, 📸 JEP)

WHAT. A. RACE. 🏁🔥

After yesterday's heartbreak, the team came back stronger than ever.

Michiel delivered an outstanding first stint, fighting his way from P9 to P4 before handing the Ford Mustang GT4 over to Sam.

Then it was Sam's turn to charge. With relentless determination and a true fighting spirit, he kept pushing forward and claimed P3 in the closing laps of the race.

What was taken away from us yesterday was earned back today.

A podium built on teamwork, perseverance and the refusal to give up when things don't go your way.

Proud of Sam, Michiel, our mechanics, engineers and everyone behind TeamFloral. 💙

Sometimes motorsport gives, sometimes it takes. Today, it gave something back.

What a race. What a fight. 💔🏁

Starting from P10, Sam Paley delivered a strong opening stint, battling hard throughout the field and keeping the Ford Mustang GT4 firmly in contention.

After the driver change, Michiel Haverans gave it everything. Lap after lap, he fought his way forward and, with less than 10 minutes remaining, climbed into P3 and a podium position.

Then, heartbreak.

With under two minutes to go, a suspension failure brought an end to an incredible comeback drive, leaving our Mustang stranded and a well-deserved podium slipping away.

Motorsport can be cruel, but the pace, determination and teamwork shown today give us plenty to build on for Race 2.

We'll come back fighting. 💪
