Yazaki EMEA is the leading supplier of wiring harnesses, electronic components and connections systems.

The beginnings of Yazaki can be traced back to the 1920s in Japan. In 1929, Sadami Yazaki began selling electric cables for automobiles. What once started as a one-man-business, developed over the years with the foundation of “Yazaki Corporation” in 1941 into a globally operating automotive supplier. Today, Yazaki is a market leader in the area of automotive wiring harness systems and supplies all

major OEMs with innovative solutions. The company is still family-owned and its headquarters are located in Susono at the foot of Mount Fuji. More than 249 000 committed and highly motivated employees working in 45 countries contribute to Yazaki’s global success.

Y-EMEA is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2039, aligning with the sustainability goals of our customers and the targets set by the European Union. This ambition reflects our dedication to supporting the automotive industry's transition toward a greener future.

As part of this effort, we recognize the growing importance of addressing product carbon footprint requirements set by our automotive customers. To stay ahead of these demands, we have taken a proactive approach. We have established a methodology for calculating our Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) in alignment with the Standards ISO 14040, ISO 14044, ISO 14067 and Catena-X Rule Book, as well as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Product Standard, considering emissions from raw material extraction and processing, production, distribution and storage – Cradle-to-Gate.

Our team in Gemlik, Turkey, secured first place in the internal SPQDC Awards, recognizing the plant’s outstanding operational achievements and continuous improvement efforts. SPQDC stands for Safety, People, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Having demonstrated strong performance in previous years, the team has now achieved the top position, reflecting a sustained performance trend driven by teamwork, process discipline and a strong commitment to excellence.

The celebration recognized the collective effort behind the plants progress and encouraged continued focus on high-performance standards.

Yazaki Bulgaria has been recognized for contributing to education: the location was awarded for outstanding environmental, social and governance practices while actively contributing to regional development and social inclusion. They received this recognition from KRIB Haskovo, the regional branch of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB), one of the country's leading employers' organizations.

Over the past years, they have built strong partnerships with high schools and universities, expanding their educational initiatives through dual education, secondary school internships, university programs, and student internships. Our Yazaki Kotozukuri Hub Morocco has launched an improvement initiative. Every member is invited to develop and present an improvement project. All submissions are then reviewed and evaluated based on impact, creativity, and their contribution to operational excellence. The winner of the best project of the month will be recognized, appreciated and celebrated.

The initiative is designed to encourage innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement. It motivates to actively contribute to the team’s success and cooperation, to healthy competition as well as to continuous development.

Sometimes a simple idea changes everything and that’s why Hatice Çakir won the Yazaki Spirit Award in the Special Category.

While working on a key project, she identified inefficiencies in splice welding and heat treatment processes. After collaborating with the industrial engineering team, she proposed reversing the processing direction ‒ allowing both treatments to run simultaneously.

This smart adjustment delivered extraordinary results. The production cycle time was cut in half, and overall output increased significantly. Hatice’s achievement embodies the spirit of the Special Award: Bold thinking, practical innovation, and measurable business impact driven by frontline insight.
