HPH : c’est ici que Lotus propose sont expertise, comme par le passé !
Some news about Hethel.
Hethel Performance Hub is the name of a new facility based in Lotus Cars’ Norfolk home that aims to partner and collaborate with other car brands, technology companies, academia and motorsport. For many years, Lotus was renowned for working with OEMs from around the world on a consultancy basis and, in the 1990s, was arguably responsible for putting more engines into production than any other organisation. That drive has now been re-invigorated with the Hethel Performance Hub.
The Hub is already operational, with active engineering and manufacturing programmes underway at Hethel. A number of partners, including a UK-based performance car brand, an international electric vehicle manufacturer and a European low-volume vehicle producer reflects the breadth of activity across engineering, component supply and full vehicle development programmes.
The facility aims to create efficient ways of taking automotive concepts into production.
In high-performance and niche automotive segments, innovation is often constrained by cost, lack of scale and fragmented capability. Hethel Performance Hub is designed to address that challenge.
The launch is part of a broader phase of development at Hethel with a long-term aim to establish the facility as a “globally recognised centre for high-performance innovation and its specialist low volume production.”
Matt Nice, Deputy Managing Director of Lotus Cars said: “Hethel Performance Hub is about unlocking the full potential of what exists here. We’re taking world-class capability –engineering, manufacturing, motorsport – and turning it into a platform for partnership. Crucially, it’s not just about access, it’s about bringing the right people together. By creating an environment where partners can collaborate, develop and deliver side by side, we enable a faster, smarter way to innovate in a sector where traditional models often slow things down.”
