The theme at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year was MG. One of the cars that was prominent in this celebration was LBL 301, which Barry raced both at Goodwood and at the Le Mans Classic. Also wonderful to see Barry's daughter Heidi and her husband Simon at Goodwood.

I have just rediscovered these photographs of Barry, taken at Le Mans in 2013, when he was racing Paul Hogan's beautiful Triumph TR3S in the Legends race. I love how relaxed Barry looks, whilst waiting outside the Aston Martin pit garage

Many thanks to Roger Eve for this:

I raced with Barry in the BCV8 championship all through the 1980s. The picture is 1985 at Zandvoort, winners were John Lodge, Terry Smith, Barry and myself (far right ) My greatest memory of Barry is when he gave me a ride in DRX at Goodwood. I thought I wasn't a bad driver but wow Barry was on a different planet!

Barry's name will always be associated with racing at Spa and particularly the Spa Six Hours race weekend. Wonderful to see so many of this old friends and crew out here this weekend still carrying on the tradition.

Two of Barry's cars on display today at the MGB 60th anniversary event at the National Motor Museum in Gaydon. DRX 255C still showing the scars on its front wing from last weekends Goodwood Revival race. Also on display was Barry's Jacque Coune Berlinette, alongside two other examples of this rare car.
