2010 SUZUKI SWIFT
It has been a while since we have posted a case. We have been busy, but here is an interesting one. This swift shut down on the road, and was towed to the dealership. They quickly told the owner it needed a fuel pump, but they were out of stock. The owner supplied the fuel pump only to be told after that there was a fuse constantly blowing, and the vehicle now needs a BCM (body control module) over $2000 if they order it.
At this point the owner was advised by one of our clients to collect the vehicle and contact us.
The FI fuse was indeed blowing every time the ignition was switched on. It took only 90 minutes to accurately diagnose this problem and locate the short to ground in the circuit.
A shorted camshaft position sensor is what shut this vehicle down.
