Today's jobs were pretty straight fwd:

Suzuki Baleno: Mechanical inspection

This vehicle needs some love, some of the windshield spouts are clogged. Front and rear suspension needs some work, the rear wheel bearings are noisy and a few other issues. They have been noted for the customer

Toyota Vitz: This customer reached out and asked to have the front left wheel bearing replaced. The entire knuckle ws removed and delivered to Black Rock Auto to have the old hub and bearing pressed out & the new bearing and hub installed. Everything was refitted to the vehicle and a short test drive done. Ready to go again..... Tomorrow is another day (Collie Buddz)

Friday's work only edited and posted tonight.... been a bit overwhelmed recently, I guess this video will show exactly why I was overwhelmed and this was only ONE day of the entire week lol

Suzuki Swift (yep you guessed it). Replace 2 auxiliary belts. The alternator belt was split in two and the AC belt was severely deteriorated. The AC belt needs to be removed & installed with a special tool (very silly design), that was done and the vehicle was on it's way

Suzuki Swift: Customer said they wanted a full service done..... I booked the vehicle for the service then when it got here, there were a whole host of parts in the back seat stupes. I had to go back in my notes and see that the vehicle had an estimate for earlier this year and the customer wanted everything done. What's everything?

The brake shoe clips broke (of course the new shoes doesn't come with new clips), so I had to source 2 new clips and install. Anyway the vehicle is completed and back in the hands of the owner..... tomorrow is another day *whispers*..... guess what tomorrow vehicle is? 😒

In for it's routine service is a Toyota Axio from a fleet of hired cars. As you know, the first part of my full services a mechanical inspection is done. Some minor things noted to be sorted later and the service carried out along with replacing the cabin filter. By 1pm the vehicle was completed & ready for collection. Tune in tomorrow

Today was thankfully a simple and short day..... this customer mentioned they have a noise in the steering so a mechanical check was done and the steering rack was found to have passed away..... it is well with my soul but it won't be well with her purse. A short list was compiled and sent off. Stay tuned, tomorrow is another day

You know when you come to work with that bubbly feeling in you stomach? That was me this morning saying it's going to be a good day.... that bubbly feeling ended up being nothing but belly hurt.

Toyota AE-110: mechanical inspection, the customer said the vehicle hard starts when it's cold and there's a power steering leak. After checking a few things, I had an idea what it was but I have Nikolai with me so I have to take him through the diagnosing process step by step. First thing we did a diagnostic check which showed 2 codes in the system, one of those codes was the water temperature sensor. We removed that sensor, got the volt meter out and put a torch on the sensor to change the temp so we can check the resistance. That was fine, we went out to do a compression test on the engine which was perfect..... we checked for spark coming to the spark plugs an there was none.... I got the distributor from my old car an installed.... same problem (no spark) so we checked a few more things and the final diagnosis.... the ignition section of the ECU is ready to join the disability unit. Customer was updated and he will reach out to my ECU technician to have the issue sorted.

Isuzu DMax in for a Flat service + replace fuel filter, grease driveshafts & suspension (if applicable) & replace cabin filter.
