For the first time since retiring from MotoGP at the end of the 2021 season, Valentino Rossi was back on a Yamaha YZR-M1 during the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The nine-time World Champion reunited with his iconic 2020 factory Yamaha in an emotional appearance that brought back unforgettable memories for MotoGP fans around the world.

Rossi also shared the stage with Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris before leading a special hill climb demonstration featuring fellow Monster Energy athletes.

Although his VR46 Racing Team now races with Ducati, Rossi remains an official Yamaha Brand Ambassador. The 47-year-old also confirmed he has no interest in testing a current MotoGP bike.
