📊 CORNER INLET FISHING REPORT 🎣

You asked… now we’re going to deliver. Brought to you by our very own Skipper, Dave!

​CRITICAL BOAT RAMP NOTICE

➖ The boat ramp is heavily tidal. Launch and retrieval of vessels is restricted strictly to 1.5 hours either side of high tide ONLY.

​➖ Example: If High Tide is at 12:00 PM, your safe ramp usage window is strictly 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Do not attempt to use the ramp outside this 3-hour total window.

​➖ Low water exposes extensive mudflats and shallow sandbars, creating a high risk of grounded vessels, damaged propellers, or bogged trailers.

​WHAT'S BITING IN THE INLET

​🐟 King George Whiting: Local seagrass beds and channel edges are producing quality Whiting. Fresh pipis and squid strips fished on light tackle with a running sinker rig yield the best results. Work the channel margins on the flood tide.

​🎣 Flathead: Sand flathead are active along the drop-offs as the tide ebbs out of the shallows. Drift soft plastics (3–4 inch paddle tails) or fresh fish baits through the deeper channels.

​🦑 Calamari Squid: Crystal-clear water inside the inlet makes for excellent squid fishing over the w**d beds. Size 2.5 to 3.0 jigs in natural pilchard or bright green patterns are working well.

​🦈 Gummy Shark & Australian Salmon: Deep channels near the inlet entrance are holding solid Gummy Shark on the turn of the tide. Use fresh salmon or mullet chunks. Schools of Australian Salmon are also busting up near channel junctions - rigged for quick casting.

Bush, beach, sunrise and sunsets 👌🏼🌾🏕️ Camping just hits different.

Waking up with nowhere to be… and that camp fire that somehow holds the power to make anyone and everyone just sit, talk or listen.

Cooking dinner outside, and yeah, it’s never tasted better. Or not being a morning person, but that sunrise was irresistible.

You come to realise pretty quickly that life is too short to stay put, you don’t need much when you’ve got good company and the best memories are the ones that didn’t involve a hell of lot of planning.
