There’s no doubt the Olympic Javelin XL caravan has a touch of class about it. The Javelin XL is built with rough road touring in mind and is ideal for quick trip up the road or quite a few round Australia trips. On the drawbar itself, in addition to the ball coupling, handbrake and centre mounted jockey wheel, are two 9kg gas cylinders and a mesh rack between the rails. A looped end rear bumper bar also acts as the bracket for the spare wheel and is home to the polecarrier for all those extra poles you may need on the road. Fitted forward of the axles between the drawbar rails are two 90 litre water tanks, with galvanised sheet protection.
This immaculate caravan has a striking finish and a rear door entry with a front bedroom and full-width rear bathroom, but the most striking feature of the van is the Rosewood cabinetry work which is in pristine condition. Along the nearside are all the essential outdoor living items such as a Dometic awning, wall light, door light and external speakers.

Measuring 1.91 x 1.52m (6ft 3in x 5ft), the innerspring mattress bed fills front centre stage. Supporting the mattress, the posture slat bed base can be lifted to give access to the storage space underneath – which is quite bare, except for the Suburban water heater tucked under the offside wardrobe.
Included in the bedhead cabinet are side wardrobes, overhead lockers and a shelf under the window at the back of the bed, and two diagonal cupboards fill the corners at the foot of the bed.
The nearside cupboard is full height and the offside is half height providing ample room for on your travels.
All this adds up to a van with a tare weight of 2080kg and an ATM of 2480kg and a slightly lighter than usual ball weight of 165kg when unloaded.
