In 1979 An Australian owner refitted in Auckland and sailed the Pacifc. Featured in Cruising Helmsman in Port Morseby in 1982 and sailed out through the Indian Ocean and arrived in Fremantle for the America's Cup challenge in 1986 where it changed ownership twice and the current owner purchased her & refitted for cruising.
1999 Departed Fremantle to sail south. Eventually completing three circumnavigations of Australia by 2017.
2013 Entered the Australian Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart Tasmania.
Illness has led to the reluctant sale of Tiare ll. Owner is keen to find a purchaser wanting to maintain the character vessel into the future.
