Unfortunately it has come time to call an end to the operation of Driver Skills Training. Recently I have had to take some medical leave and while I was initially hopeful of a return, it is now no longer a possibility.

I would like to thank all of you who supported me over the years. The intention was to offer quality structured lessons and driving experiences in preparation for a lifetime of safer driving; and hopefully I was able to achieve this.

Young drivers aged under 26 years are over-represented in NSW crashes, despite only accounting for around 14% of all licence holders.

Supervising a learner driver helps build a foundation for a lifetime of safer driving.

Get the guidance you need to help your loved one become a safer driver by attending a free workshop designed to provide you with hands-on support and help you demonstrate safe driving behaviours.

The two-hour ‘Helping Learner Drivers Become Safer Drivers’ workshops will be offered at the following locations and times:

📍 Erina Library, Tuesday 18th November, 6-8pm
📍 Tuggerah Library, Thursday 20th November, 6-8pm

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2025! Last year was a busy year at Driver Skills Training and before it was finished the following students passed their driving test in December;

There is currently extended wait periods for test bookings at Toukley and Tuggerah, so anyone wanting to book their test will need to get the Hazard Perception Test done and plan ahead. I would also recommend checking the test bookings regularly as they often change once Service NSW changes/confirms their examiner staffing rosters. Generally speaking, we try not to move other clients’ lessons to fit in tests, however, there may be limited flexibility on this if things are planned well in advance and we’re kept in the communication loop.

Our booking calendar is currently opened until the end of the school holidays and in the next couple of days we’ll open availability till the end of Term 1. Advanced warning that I won’t be available for a couple of weeks over the Easter/Anzac Day period as we’ll be taking a road-trip. Anyone with tests that are due in that period are asked to keep this in mind.

Yesterday Driver Skills Training attended the Australian Driver Trainers Association (ADTA) annual conference. It was a great day of networking and professional development, but also quite humbling and validating to receive an award in a room full of industry colleagues from all over Australia.
