This Chassis/Tub is made in England by OMS Racing (OMS28) chassis No 175 constructed in carbon-fiber, engine & rear suspension ½ chassis is chrome-molly tubing designed and fabricated by myself.
The Tub was a 50th birthday present from my lovely wife, and yes I do have a very understanding wife Suzy, that supports my passion for Hillclimbing,
We have had a few issues trying to get this car sorted from the new build. The quickest time we have done at Mt Cotton in this car is 37.34 that was this year at the QHC. We broke a drive shaft on the 2nd last run so we hope to get quicker at the AHC fingers crossed.
I have been competing in Hillclimb’s for over 25 years.
I first started Hillclimbing in a Gemini back in the late 1980’s , then I ran a Mazda RX3 before getting interested in the open wheel class. I have built 3 open wheel cars so far.
My first open wheeler (RPV01) I built and ran at Mt cotton in 1998 this was built on a $20 a week budget it took over 2-1/2 years to build, I ran that for 9 years. Best Time at Mt Cotton in this car was 40.20
My second open wheeler (RPV02)I built in 2008 / 09 and we ran that for 8 years we sold that in 2017 The best Time at Mt Cotton in this car was 38.47
All 3 were powered by Rotary Engine’s, hence the RPV prefix this stands for Rotary Powered Vehicle.
We just love the people that we have met competing in Hillclimbs we have developed very strong life-long friendships with a lot of people through this sport.
Cannot wait for the AHC see you all there!!!!!
