Victorian Kart Championships

It was an up-and-down weekend for the team at the Victorian Kart Championships in Albury-Wodonga, showing strong pace across multiple classes but ultimately facing more than their share of bad luck.

Herman Van Ree – Victorian Combined Masters Herman Van Ree showcased impressive speed throughout the weekend aboard his Croc Promotion MC-01. From the outset on Friday, he consistently ran inside the top three, establishing himself as a genuine contender.
A tough qualifying session saw him finish 8th after missing out on a tow, but he fought back strongly through the heats with a series of solid results to secure a P5 start for the final. Delivering when it mattered most, Herman drove an excellent race in the final to climb onto the podium, finishing 3rd overall for the weekend.

Blake Worboys – KA3 Senior Medium Blake Worboys was firmly in podium contention throughout the weekend in KA3 Senior Medium, demonstrating the pace to run at the front. Unfortunately, a last-lap incident while running in 2nd position brought his charge undone, denying him a well-earned podium and capping off what had otherwise been a very promising performance.

Austin McPherson – KA3 Junior Light
Austin McPherson endured a challenging weekend after being forced off track during qualifying, leaving him to start from 34th position for the opening two heats. Despite the setback, he produced an impressive recovery drive in Heat 1, gaining 17 positions and putting himself in contention for a stronger grid position heading into Heat 3.
Unfortunately, a DNF in Heat 2 hindered his overall progress. Undeterred, Austin delivered a determined performance in the final, charging through the field to secure an excellent 10th-place finish.

Team Race Report – Golden Power Series Round 1 | Eastern Lions Kart Club
We kicked off the Golden Power Series with a strong showing at Eastern Lions Kart Club, with several of our drivers consistently running inside the top five across the weekend.
A big highlight came from Harry Dengate, who drove a fantastic weekend to secure 3rd place in TaG Restricted Heavy, giving the team our first podium of the series.
Austin McPherson also delivered an impressive performance, starting the final from pole position after taking two heat race wins. Unfortunately an on-track incident during the final ended his chances of a podium finish, but he still walks away from the weekend leading the championship standings.
A solid start to the series and plenty of positives to take into the next round. 👊🏁

Paul and Sylvia Stania Memorial, Geelong Kart Club

A huge weekend at Geelong Kart Club for the annual Paul and Sylvia Stania Memorial, with our team walking away with a double podium after a strong showing across the Junior categories.
We entered three drivers for the event and got off to a flying start in qualifying, with two front-row positions and setting the tone early.
In Junior Heavy, Rixon Salvino was unstoppable in qualifying, claiming pole position aboard his CROC Promotion MC-01. Junior Light, Austin McPherson delivered a standout lap to secure second position on the grid. Making his debut, Max Parry impressed straight out of the gate, qualifying a solid fourth in his first-ever Junior race meeting and first event in a CROC Promotion kart.
Come race time, the momentum continued.
Austin McPherson capped off a near-perfect weekend by taking victory in the Junior Light category, building on his strong form from 2025 and launching his 2026 season in the best possible way.
Rixon Salvino converted his pole position into a hard-fought second-place finish, securing a podium result in what was his first race event aboard the CROC Promotion MC-01.
Meanwhile, Max Parry showed pace, composure, and maturity beyond his years, bringing the kart home in a well-deserved fourth place in a highly competitive field—an outstanding result for his debut meeting.
A fantastic team effort all round and a proud result at such a special memorial event. Onward and upward from here. 🏁🏆

Our pre-season testing program took place over three productive days and marked a strong start for both of our junior drivers in the Croc Promotion MC-01.
Across the three days of testing, both drivers showed clear improvement, growing in confidence and consistency with every session. The focus remained firmly on development—understanding the kart, refining driving technique, and collecting valuable data that will play a key role as we head into the season.
A variety of new setups and accessories were trialled throughout the test, giving the team the opportunity to evaluate performance changes across different conditions. Each adjustment provided important insights, helping us build a clearer picture of the most effective combinations.
By the conclusion of testing, both drivers had logged well in excess of 300 laps each. This extensive track time not only highlights their commitment but also provided the team with a strong data base to guide future decisions.
Overall, the three-day pre-season test delivered exactly what we aimed for: steady progress, valuable information, and a confident foundation for the season ahead.

CROC Promotion Karts Australia would like to introduce Harry Burke 44 to the family

Harry has jumped aboard an ex team MC-01 chassis

Harry showed good speed at the Victorian State Cup ultimately finishing in the top 15 after an incident sent him to the rear of the field in the early stages of the final race.

We look forward to seeing his progress in the 2026 season

Tasmanian Kart Championship & Victorian State Cup Wrap-Up 🚗✈️
What a huge couple of weeks for the team! Over 2000 kilometers travelled – ferries, flights, and plenty of road time – but it was all worth it for some standout performances.
In Tasmania, all three drivers gave it their all: Austin McPherson had a tough start with qualifying but fought back from the rear, charging through to finish inside the top five in the final.Blair Van Ree was on fire, securing pole position and converting it into a 3rd place podium finish. Herman Van Ree, still adapting to the KA100 with just one dry practice session, impressed with a solid drive to finish comfortably inside the top ten.
The team then made the trek over to the Victorian State Cup, where Austin was on the verge of a breakthrough. After qualifying on the second row and staying in the top five all weekend, he started the final from the front row and crossed the line in second place. Unfortunately, a post-race infringement saw him relegated to fourth, but it was still a solid weekend of racing.
After a long season, these two events were a fantastic way to close out the year, and the team showed incredible resilience and determination across both. The final event of the year now sets the stage for next season, and we’re all already looking forward to bigger and better things.
Great work all around, and thanks to everyone who made it happen! 💪🏁
