🏁 Oakleigh Club Day Recap 🏁

What a fantastic day at the Oakleigh Go Kart Racing Club for their April club day! Competing in a large field of 24 cadets (combined 9s & 12s) made for an exciting atmosphere on the track.

Results:

- Qualifying:13th
- Heat 1:11th
- Heat 2: 9th
- Heat 3: 9th
- Final:8th

We made notable progress across all aspects of our racing, and most importantly, it was a lot of fun!

April Club Day 🏁🏎️

We rolled up to Puckapunyal kart club ready to chip away at all those little 1% because in this class that’s what it takes to be competitive! We worked hard all weekend chasing a bit more pace, learning heaps, and putting the pieces together bit by bit.

20 kart field and stacked with talent!

Heat 2: 16th
Heat 3: 16th
Final: 14th

We might not be where we want to be yet…
but we’re building, learning, and moving forward! The positives we’ve taken out of this weekend are huge. This class is seriously epic and I’m pumped to keep learning and chasing the front!

The Junior Top Guns event marked a the start for our very busy racing year and my first race meeting as a Cadet 12 we worked hard all weekend to get chassis and engine in the window although the results didn't quite match our expectations, we gained a lot of invaluable information that will move us forward.

We're grateful to Ray for their patience and expertise, but my biggest thanka goes to Colin McIntyre for popping down helping with the kart and giving me tips on this tricky track your 40 years of experience made all the difference 😂

Turned 10 on New Year’s Eve… which means I’m officially Cadet 12!

I headed to Albury on Friday and Saturday to get my first laps in the new kart and work through a brand-new setup. Very different to what I’m used to, but I’m excited to learn and keep improving!

Dad and I picked up heaps of tips and tricks over the weekend, especially on Saturday with some help from Ray at official_tbkartaus. He gave me my first ever professional lesson (sorry Dad, you’ve done an awesome job so far 😂).

Ray was super encouraging and really helped build my confidence to push the kart and understand it better, giving us tools to kickstart 2026!

Plenty of work ahead 💪🏁

And what a year it was! I’ve learnt so much this year, pushed myself every race, and made so many awesome friends along the way.

I’m so proud of myself this year! I didn’t win all the time, but I never gave up, and I always tried my best. I had some awesome race meetings, and I had some really tough ones too, but that’s just racing — and I still had fun.

This weekend was amazing because I won my very first club championship at Eastern Lions Kart Club! That was my big goal for the whole year, and I couldn’t believe it actually happened, especially because I wasn’t winning a lot, just being really consistent.

I also finished 3rd in the Bendigo Kart Club championship, which was such a cool surprise.

But the biggest surprise of all was getting the Best and Fairest award for all the cadet 9s and 12s drivers. I felt really happy and proud that people noticed how hard I try and how I race.

A massive thank-you to my sponsors, Echuca Karts & Parts and VICLAB — you helped me get on track this year, and I’m super grateful.

I also want to say thank you to all my racing friends, especially Haydn Morrell, Carly Morrell Jack, Nicholas Wortley Erin Wortley and Jax. You guys always help me on and off the track, and it means so much to me.

Thanks to both my Nan & Pop for coming to presentation night — it was really special having you there.

And finally, thank you my best friend and big brother Archie! I know Dad and I get to do all the fun stuff on the track, but you make everything fun and cheer me up when I’m down, cheer me on at every opportunity give me words of wisdom that I clearly need to hear I truly appreciate it.

September Club Day at Eastern Lions Kart Club

It was a very wet and wild day at Puckapunyal on Sunday, but I managed to come away with some amazing results in a strong field of 13 drivers.

Results:
Qualified: 3rd of 13
Race 1: 3rd
Race 2: 1st
Race 3: 1st
Final: 1st

This gave me 1st overall and my very first club day round win – a really special moment for me, made even better by achieving it on Father’s Day for my dad 🥰

August club day at Eastern Lions Kart Club was my best racing ever!

Heat 1: P4 —> P4
Heat 2: P4 —> P3
Heat 3: P4 —> P2 (fastest lap time!)
Final: P4 —> P2 (finished just 0.006 seconds behind 1st place, also with a fastest lap of 49.331 seconds)

Overall for the day: **P2**! 🎉
