Sorry that you can't bring your own karts to our track. (Ma Ma Creek Dirt Club and Lockyer Valley Kart Club are excellent clubs with racing facilities and competitive Race Meets.) Our Standard adult 6.5hp Sodi Karts for drivers 13+ years old, up to 130kg. Junior 4hp Sodi Karts for drivers 10-13years old. Any drivers under 18 need to bring a parent to sign their indemnity form. Additional ID such a
s medicare card and Parent Driver Licence are required for our staff to sight and link the parent to the child. Some form of ID that shows the parental signature, address and the child. Drivers are encouraged to use their own helmets as long as the helmets are full face road standard helmets and comply to AS/NZS 1698 standard. We have a selection of helmets that are available for use with the purchase of a $5 balaclava for hygiene. All 10 min races are lap timed and individul reports are printed at the conclusion of each race indicating speed and each lap time result. Best lap times of the day and also best 5 times of the month are also included on the report. (Top 5 racers can be famous for a month appearing on every driver's report!)
All kart steering wheels, pedals and seats are fully adjustable to ensure comfort. Karts have full racing harness and all engines are covered for your protection. Each kart is also fitted with a De Haardt remote control system for safety so the track marshalls are able to monitor and decrease power to individual karts if required. Mon- Fri sessions are less structured. We prefer Companion Card holders to come in the first 2 hours of opening to ensure a quiet track. Junior Drivers are welcome at any time Mon-Fri. Conditions for Junior Drivers may apply in school holidays in the Mon-Fri sessions. There are currently 2 sessions on the weekends. Early Bird Session 9am- 11am. Junior drivers are welcome. People wanting to improve lap times are welcome at this time and often get an open track with few other drivers. Often this session is prebooked by Private Parties. Please check availability. Of course you can still drop in and secure the next available race, after the Private Party races. Arrive &Drive Session 11am-5pm
No bookings necessary. Turn up and wait for the next available race. If you already have a group of 8-10 drivers you will be placed in a race together. (If you have 10 drivers you will receive a group rate of $20 per driver). If you have a group of 8-10 drivers you can also have your kids with you in junior karts - we will depower the adult karts so you can race with the kids… but you must have min 8 drivers to have junior karts with you in the race).
