Old Dingo hits the road

Today Tony and Sam picked up their new Legend SAR after an extensive PD, paint and fitout, and we couldn’t be happier for them - especially when Sam arrived in the 87 original SAR

After rolling off the factory line in their trademark Emerald Green, it was off to to have the white painted in, Signchief to line and scroll and then fully clear flow coat to look good for years to come, a trip to for a period specific Bullbar and ring feeder assembly and into the shop to finish Sam’s vision off

We had many discussions over two years for what the end goal was and it was always the same - it had to look 80s style cool.

We custom designed a gantry, toolbox assembly
with hidden ice pack NC unit, behind wing water tank, rear bar, vintage red-dot cover, fitted a genuine fibreglass visor, converted HELLA sidelights to sealed LED and completed a extensive interior bunk fitout, including a full body deadening on every cab and bunk panel.

A Starlink Mini unit was added, multiple fridges, microwave and water heater and shower assembly. Colour coded deckplate on gas struts and hinges for easy access, along with aftermarket slave air unit fed by the red-dot roof unit, and a thorough detail from Danny and crew at finished it off perfect.


Everything has been tweaked to suit, and we can’t wait to see it out on the road with Taylor in the pilots seat

10 years ago, I met a bloke in the driveway of another truck I was working on who asked me if I could make him a couple of little bits for a western star he was driving. Yesterday picked up one of the best looking ever built, and it’s been a honor to build this for him after watching him chase the dream. The more you look the more you see on this truck, and it’s complete right down to hosereel in rear box for roadside wash. We were given loose guidelines and worked close to put together Shaun’s dream truck. Everything on this truck has been tweaked in some way and it is a true one off. 95% is made in-house including gantry, boxes, guards, rear bar and deckplates on hinges with gas strut assist. Colour change lighting with our auto change hookup to change colour with park brake application. Full custom bunk fitout including a barista style hard mounted coffee machine, bushman upright, starlink and plateless microwave ☕️ & smashed it out with the signwriting. Keep an eye out for this one out there, but it’s going to be hard to miss.

Here’s our solution to something that has annoyed us for the better part of 15 years - the ends of tanks when they’re stainless wrapped.

The colour of polished alloy is never the same as stainless, and the maintenance on polishing tank ends, particularly in between two side by side tanks is high.

9 or so months ago, the nagging voices in my head won and we made a 1/3 scaled down proof of concept of what we have here as a end product. Getting these dialed in took a lot of time, testing and frustration but the results are awesome.

We have capability of stamping logos and designs in these caps also, to stand out that bit more and can supply them PPF clear wrapped for ultimate set and forget.

We are opening these up for preorders as they are currently being made in batches.
KW bonneted round tank are available now, bonneted square tank in manufacture stage along with cabover square, so if your looking for a set for your upcoming build reach out here.

We are proud that these are manufactured entirely in SA from 304 grade #8 mirror ss for that show shine.
