🔥🏁 SIBLING RIVALRY!!! 🏁🔥

Last night at Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway, Stephanie and Jacob Dimech went head-to-head against each other in two Mazda RX-8s! 🔥🔄

Although they only managed a couple of runs due to the weather 🌧️, it was still awesome to see them lining up next to each other! 🏎️💨

We can’t wait to see what these two achieve together as they continue their journey in the world of drag racing! 🙌🔥

Let the sibling rivalry begin! 😂🏁

🏁 First Time Down the Quarter Mile! 🔥🚗💨

Last night, Jacob Dimech hit the track for his very first drag racing experience at the Aeroflow Race 4 Real – 4WD Theme Night X Forby Nation event at Sydney Dragway, and it's safe to say he absolutely loved it! 🙌🏁

Meanwhile, Steph Dimech was back out doing what she loves, making more passes down the strip and enjoying another great night of racing. 🚗💨🔥

We also caught up with one of our customers, Luke Trotter, who was out there in his tough 323 wagon, TUF323. 💪🚗 Luke is a regular at the Wednesday night drags and it's always great seeing SDR Motorsport customers out enjoying their cars!

A huge thanks to everyone who came out and made it another awesome night at Sydney Dragway. 👏🔥

🔥 ROTARY ENGINE IN A VW BEETLE?! 🪲

When Ali came to us with the task of putting a rotary into his VW Beetle, we knew this one was going to be something special! 😎🔧

This unique build is powered by an SDR Motorsport 12A Turbo Mild Port engine, featuring a 1/2” stud kit and a Garrett G30 turbocharger 💥🌀

The setup is backed by some serious Turbosmart goodies, including:
🔩 50mm Wastegate
💨 Blow Off Valve
⛽ Fuel Pressure Regulator
⚡ eBoost

Everything is fully plumbed up using 247 Hose & Fittings 🔧🔥

Cooling is taken care of with a PWR Water-to-Air Intercooler 💦❄️ while engine management is handled by a MicroTech LT10C ECU 🧠⚡

And to top it all off, all fabrication was designed and completed right here at SDR Motorsport! 🛠️🔥

A VW Beetle with a rotary heart… because why not?! 😂❤️‍🔥

💥 SDR13B 🐀 Hits Sydney Dragway! 💥

Last Thursday, the SDR Motorsport team headed out to Sydney Dragway with Steve's Mazda Capella to put its new turbo and converter combination to the test! 🚀🔥

The outing gave us some valuable data, and the new combo is already showing plenty of promise. 📈⚡

We're not finished yet — we'll be back at the track soon for more testing, tuning, and chasing even quicker times! ⏱️💨

💥🧨CRACKA!!!🧨💥

If you saw our recent post featuring the five Mazda RX7s, you would’ve spotted this beautiful blue beast! 💙💨 We’ve had plenty of people asking to see and hear more of CRACKA, so we thought it deserved a post of its own! 😍🔊

We first met Corey around 8 years ago, when we supplied and fitted an SDR Motorsport Cosmo 13B race engine into CRACKA. 🛠️🔥

Fast forward to recently, and CRACKA was back through the SDR Motorsport workshop for another major upgrade — removing the manual transmission and replacing it with a C4 automatic transmission built by Al’s Race Glides. ⚙️💪

The RX-7 also headed onto the dyno for a fresh dyno tune by Unigroup Engineering, getting this rotary monster dialled in and ready to hit the track! 🔥🏁

Turn the volume up and let CRACKA do the talking! 🔊🔥💨

🏁🔥 FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS RECAP! 🔥🏁

The SDR Motorsport team had an awesome night at Friday Night Lights by Aeroflow Performance X For The Girls! 🙌🏎️💨

Adam Nuner took the opportunity to put his iconic Mazda RX3 through its paces, and the team is finally heading in the right direction! 💪🔧 After plenty of work, the chassis is now accommodating the new engine combination, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead for this car! 🔥

We’d also like to take this opportunity to give a massive congratulations to Stephanie Dimech on recently completing her Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship! 🎓🔧👏

Stephanie has become an essential part of the SDR Motorsport team, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved. ❤️🏁 She’ll now be focusing more on her own drag racing, with plenty more seat time and big steps coming in the near future! 🏎️💨🔥

The next chapter is only just beginning! 👊
