⚙️Have you ever checked the date on your tyres? ⚙️

Tyres made after the year 2000 have a Tyre Identification Number (TIN) found on their side walls that tell us their age. The last four digits of the TIN represent the week and year the tyre was made.

Because rubber deteriorates over time, driving with old tyres can be unsafe. If you haven’t looked at your tyres recently, now could be a good time check their age and if they need replacement. Especially if they’re more than five years old or are showing signs of wear.

This 1962 S series Valiant is owned by a very good friend of mine he and I restored the car a bit over 25 years ago. He stopped driving it about 15 years ago and just sat in his shed under a cover. Last year he decided it was time to get it going and get it out on the road again but he was unsure about getting it going himself as he didn’t want to damage the engine after sitting for so long so he put it on a truck and sent it to my work. And after a lot of work and a detail it’s still a stunning looking car and an amazing car to drive for it’s age 😊
