Today we are celebrating 1 Year in business at Southern Downs Mechanical!!

The team are over the moon with excitement about how great the last year has been. The last year has been a challenging one for a lot of people that’s for sure but amongst these challenges a lot of exciting things have happened.

Did you know that we are an Approved Inspection Station??

It is a legal requirement in Queensland that you must have a Safety Certificate before any registered vehicle is offered for sale or when registering an unregistered vehicle.

We are able to offer safety certificates for light vehicles (up to and including 4.5t GVM) and also a Certificate of Inspection for Light Vehicles up to and including 4.5t GVM that require one for special use purposes such as booked hire, booked hire rental, taxi or limousine's.

We issue our Safety Certificates electronically so this means when we are satisfied that your vehicle is roadworthy your safety certificate will be sent straight to the Department of Transport through an online portal.
