Brendan has travelled down from macksville for a run in and tune on his new engine combo.

I tuned this one years ago on the stock rb25 making 355kw.

The new 2.8 combo and g35 900. Haltech ecu and PDM.

4 boost settings ranging from 18psi 420 kw to 29psi 530kw with full boost around 4250rpm and singing all the way to 8600rpm

Some carnage on the Dyno.
Definitely not what anyone wants to happen.
Final Dyno run after tuning this LS powered WB ute. I even filmed the final run for the customer. 282kw 6400rpm and BANG!

What a noise it made.

Once i heard the noise i knew it was the tailshaft. I let the car idle down the. Hopped out and half if the tailshaft was sitting on the Dyno next to the car.

The bigger issue was that it punctured the fuel tank!!

Into emergency mode. I moved the fire extinguishers closer, and took off the fuel line in the engine bay and turned the fuel pump in to drain all of the fuel out into jerry cans.
Crisis averted.

Was a very eventful day that’s for sure.
