Onboard: VR Commodore Racecar/Pinnacle Motorsport Tribute 3rd Race Meeting-Mallala Historics April 2026

G'day legends, apologies for the lack of posting leading up to our 1st trip to Mallala-our family was devastated with the loss of our dear Dad in the lead up so I'm sure you can appreciate where the priorities had to be....RIP Dad 😥🙏🏁

As we are busy gathering quality photos from at least 8 different photographers, let's run with the onboard footage first-hoping to have everything gathered up for a full review of a brilliant weekend in S.A. in the next week or two.👍

So jump in the Pinnacle Motorsport Commodore Tribute for our fastest (and last) lap of the weekend-there was no V8 out there with less power than our wounded little LS...so it was super rewarding to record the 9th fastest time of the weekend in our Group C & A Tribute category, 1:21.98 😁👍🏁

P.S. I've let the footage roll for the last cool down lap of the weekend-so cool to acknowledge all the volunteers and spectators as we cruise around thanking them for the support ❤️

Happy New Year CBM Opers, crazy to think we are nearly into February already!! 😳

Last weekend the Pinnacle Motorsport Tribute Commodore made its first show n shine appearance, making the trek to the annual Horsepower in the high country in Mansfield Victoria. There was a great turnout (especially considering how hot the day was) and some absolutely beautiful toys on display. Well done to Cameron & the Delatite Drivers Car Club on a super day, all raising money for the Mansfield Autism Statewide Services as well as the local CFA 😊👍

As for our on track 2026 plans, well unfortunately they will be limited based on the current condition of the engine & also the gearbox. Fair to say the motorsport funds coped a hammering last year completing the body kit/livery side of the Tribute so there isn't much left for repairs at this stage. We are officially entered for the Historic Mallala event on April 17-19 so the rocket won't be seeing the track until then.

There are plans for a couple of events later in the year, including Winton Festival Of Speed in July and the Bathurst Light Car Club Speed Weekend in November (Bathurst bought about by the cancellation of Historic Sandown 😭) but that will be dependent on how nicely the engine & gearbox play the game 🙏

VR Commodore Racecar 20th Track Day-Winton Motor Raceway BAC Members Day December 2025

G'day guys, final update for our final track activity for 2025-the Pinnacle Motorsport Commodore Tribute took part in the annual BAC Members day and it was a ripper day, thanks to the Benalla Auto Club & Winton Motor Raceway for looking after us members, we are very lucky to be part of such a terrific club 😊

Please check out the photos for descriptions of the lead up & the day itself-there was onboard footage from the day but it wasn't anything special so we might keep it tucked away in the archives 😁

After a massive year I'd like to thank all of CBM Ops' followers for your continued support-it means the world and it's so good to have people interested in the journey!!

Onboard: VR Commodore Racecar/Pinnacle Motorsport Tribute 2nd Race Meeting-Sandown International Raceway Historic Sandown November 2025

G'day legends, weird to say it....for the 1st time this year we have some in-car footage!! 😁😁 What a wild time on Saturday with the Melbourne weather doing Melbourne weather things....this was the wettest conditions I've driven in, only rivalled by how wet it was at the 1st day of Bathurst Speed Weekend last year....but in my opinion it's the lowest grip track I've experienced 💦💦

So jump onboard the Pinnacle Motorsport Tribute Commodore for a couple of laps of Sandown Raceway in some pretty tricky conditions....the little LS has less than half the power of a couple of rigs in our group....and I was struggling for traction....can only imagine what it would be like with 600+HP 😳😁🏁

G'day legends, incase you missed it the team at V8 Sleuth this week did a belter of a story on the CBM Ops Pinnacle Motorsport Commodore Tribute-I thought what would probably be a paragraph or 2 in a broader article ended up being a full story just on our rocket!! 😳👌
It's amazing the journey this thing has taken us on since the project started last year.....we've got to meet & be involved with some wonderful people & especially be a part of the Group C & A Tribute category with beautiful cars & even better people...and the best thing about this crazy Tribute journey, it's just the beginning!! 😁😁
Less than a week to go to Historic Sandown. Return Of The Thunder 2025.-if any of you are thinking of coming (who knows what the Melbourne weather will bless us with 😆) please come & say g'day and check out the over 200 beautiful historic machines in many different categories that will be competing!! 👍🏁

At a glance, this car looks like it's the one that finished sixth in the 1995 Bathurst 1000.

But it’s not; it’s an extremely good replica, one which will be in action at Historic Sandown in November.

G'day legends, bit of a different post to today...cause for myself in particular but also my young fella Brock today is a bit of a special day 😊

Today marks 20 years of 'The Toz' being part of our family-most of you know of this rocket but for a refresher to our long term & also our newer members I've picked a handful of photos (from about a million in the collection 😆) to give a brief snapshot of it's history with us....so check out the description in each pic to get an idea of just how special this thing (could be classed as the 'OG' CBM Ops rig) is especially to me & my son ❤️❤️
