She's alive!!

Hey legends, with only a week until Winton Festival of Speed at Winton Motor Raceway today was Dyno time at North East Dyno Tuning with the new LS1 heart for the Pinnacle Motorsport Group A Tribute Commodore!!

We've been back and forth with tune files and making small changes and I'm very happy to say the power and torque this thing has made is well up on my expectations.... especially that this little 5.7 is only a mild spec build (regarding parts, machining and budget) so to see the numbers on the screen today made me very very happy!! 😁

Without going into every little detail, it's got a mid level VCM camshaft, stage 1 CNC ported heads, rod bolts, trunnion upgrade and the usual oil pump, timing chain etc reliability upgrades (if anyone is interested I can post a full parts and machining list)

G'day legends, just thought I'd give a quick update on the Pinnacle Motorsport Group A Tribute Commodore-at this point we have the LS1 engine at North East Head Repairs with Paul taking care of the machining and resurfacing work, then the T56 gearbox is at Angleside Racing And Mechanical Services with our mate and another Paul working his magic completely rebuilding it with new components....looking forward to having a transmission the actually does what I want it to do 🤔😆
As of today we have less than 4 weeks until Winton Festival of Speed, and whilst it would have been ideal to do a test day a few weeks prior we have booked the extra day for practice on the Thursday at the meeting. The rest of the car is tried and proven so fingers crossed it'll be a matter of plugging the new drive line back in and we'll be away....that's the plan anyway!!

Onboard: VR Commodore Racecar/Pinnacle Motorsport Tribute 3rd Race Meeting-Mallala Historics April 2026

G'day legends, apologies for the lack of posting leading up to our 1st trip to Mallala-our family was devastated with the loss of our dear Dad in the lead up so I'm sure you can appreciate where the priorities had to be....RIP Dad 😥🙏🏁

As we are busy gathering quality photos from at least 8 different photographers, let's run with the onboard footage first-hoping to have everything gathered up for a full review of a brilliant weekend in S.A. in the next week or two.👍

So jump in the Pinnacle Motorsport Commodore Tribute for our fastest (and last) lap of the weekend-there was no V8 out there with less power than our wounded little LS...so it was super rewarding to record the 9th fastest time of the weekend in our Group C & A Tribute category, 1:21.98 😁👍🏁

P.S. I've let the footage roll for the last cool down lap of the weekend-so cool to acknowledge all the volunteers and spectators as we cruise around thanking them for the support ❤️
