Can you run two DC-DC chargers, one in your 4WD and one in your caravan? 🤔

Yes, but there's something to check first.

If both chargers are drawing power from your alternator while you're driving, their combined demand could be more than it can provide.

Before adding another charger, check your alternator capacity and whether both chargers will run at the same time.

Batteries full, but the inverter keeps tripping? 🔌

It's one of the most frustrating problems we hear about. The battery reads fine and the cable is rated for the current, but the inverter still sees low voltage.

That's because it only sees the voltage that actually reaches it. Over a long run, at high current, or through a loose nut, poor crimp or bad earth, 13V at the battery can become 11.5V at the inverter. That's enough to trigger low-voltage protection.

Normally big is better with a lot of things, but not necessarily when it comes to inverters. There's quite a few technacalities you have to understand before you decide on what size inverter to go for. 🔌
