A strong finish on Australian soil.

The 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship wrapped up in Darwin this weekend, with Ducati delivering a strong final performance at the MXGP of Australia.

Aboard the Desmo450 MX, Calvin Vlaanderen charged to 6th place in both motos, securing 6th overall for the Grand Prix and closing out Ducati’s MXGP campaign with another competitive result.

In MX2, Ferruccio Zanchi continued his return to racing aboard the Desmo250 MX, finishing inside the top ten in both motos and 10th overall. The result moved the Italian up to 14th in the championship, despite contesting just 11 of the 19 rounds.

A memorable visit to Darwin and a fitting way to close out Ducati’s 2026 MXGP season in front of the Australian fans.

For the second consecutive year, MXGP has arrived in Australia. Darwin’s Hidden Valley this weekend hosts the final round of the season, with the world’s best taking on the fast, hard packed and dusty conditions of the Top End. Saturday saw both Ducati machines in action across MXGP and MX2.

Aboard the Desmo450 MX, Calvin Vlaanderen fought back after being boxed in at the opening turn of the MXGP Qualifying Race, charging through the field to finish seventh.

In MX2, Ferruccio Zanchi continued to build confidence on his first visit to Hidden Valley. After a challenging start left him 12th, the Italian worked his way back to 10th aboard the Desmo250 MX.

Now, all eyes turn to Sunday and the final races of the 2026 season. One final race day. Right here in Australia.
