The latest Mustang that Smith’s Speed Works has done for Graham Hunt, full restoration of his magnificent 69 Mustang, very controversial car back in the day, and still today really, extremely successful car in Australian Touring Car history, and we are honored, and proud as a team to be able to do the restoration given the success/history 😎

We have had great success with this car driven of course by Darryl Hansen, who raced it throughout the bulk of its history, Denis O’Brien won his last race in this car, but also through Chris Stillwell and the family connection via Denis goes way back to the original build in the 90’s for Graham 👏🏻

Enjoy the all access photos, which showcases the attention to detail everyone puts into these builds at Smith’s Speed Works.

It’s a team effort…… 👊🏻

Whilst they look they show cars, they are fully functional GO cars 💪🏻

As for the next chapter of the car, only time will tell but one thing is for sure, Graham will enjoy having it in his possession looking better then it did brand new for now !!

And I’m sure there be some more black and white flags meeting this car down the road at some point 🏁 🏆🥇😎

So we’ve finally got excited after nearly 3 years since it’s last run, and blew the dust off the GT 350 Shelby we race in Group S - Classic Sports Car Racing Australia, freshened the engine with a couple little updates, and off to Winton Festival of Speed in August.

As you can see we are using Vpracingfuels oils right through the break in process on the dyno to the full race oil that goes in the engine throughout its racing life in the chassis.
Along with the Stay Frosty coolant, VP brake fluid, and there world renowned fuels to power it.

Only way to recommend a product is to use it ourselves, in a racing situation from start to finish, so as to be able to monitor it, and see the results over time.

Onto the steel brake pipes next to make it right 👍🏻

Here’s a engine for the Chev fans, something we’ve been playing with for the past few weeks on the dyno to get it right and make nice, oh and of course try to make 1000 Hp n/a 💪🏻

Feel 5 short yesterday 😏 but the engine is super happy, and a safe tune on E85

Big block Chev we built for Tuf565 - HQ Holden which we’ve had the pleasure of doing some of build jobs on this car in all the departments of the shop.

Great result and be another fast “street” car coming together. Can’t wait to see if done and at the race track 😎
