Dear Friends, I'm sorry to tell you that Ian's Keys and More has closed. As many of you know, health issues have caused much disruption to the business over recent years and the time has now come to concentrate on home and family. The good news is that a new business will be soon operating from the same location, offering much of the same services, plus MORE !!!
"Smith & Key" at Shop 9 Burton Street Vincentia Village will be run by Scott and Leah, owners of Shoalhaven Secure Locksmiths. I could not have wished to find a better young local family to take over, and I know that all you customers out there will support them.
Remember, SHOP LOCAL !!! .... and I'll see you around the village!

AGAIN, I find myself offering apologies for the lack of consistency regarding shop opening hours. I'm still in considerable pain from recent surgery to remove small tumour in left lung. SO... the pain can be managed with the help of medicines, but they make me so drowsy and slow-witted that I really shouldn't be attempting to carry out the work I normally do.
Thankyou all for your ongoing patience and understanding, I hope to see you next week from 10am Tuesday 8th August. Cheers !!

For those interested, results are in from my latest scan. Mostly good, but follow-up scan in February will hopefully be more conclusive.
In the meantime, nerve damage (neuropathy) from the chemotherapy has meant that I am currently unable to hand-engrave. In fact, everything I do has become much more difficult and slow, so please bear with me. Today, I couldn't even tie my hair back ! Not that there's much left up there !!
I intend to be in the shop as usual, except for Public Holidays over Christmas; so I hope to see you then !

Once again, apologies for not being able to open shop today. On top of numb fingers, toes and lower legs, I now have a terrible sore throat, pounding headache and aching bones. I've had several tests in the last couple of days, and so far Negative for Covid.
For now, back to bed !

Was hoping to make it the shop today, but hands and feet not co-operating. SO, to paraphrase America's "Sister Golden Hair", I'm gunna set my sights on Monday, and get myself undressed.

Thursday 17th November... Feet and legs much the same this morning, fingers maybe slightly better (could be just wishful thinking, or the fact that I've been wearing thick gloves 24/7 )
Either way, still not able to conduct my usual workplace functions without much discomfort, and dropping of things.
I hope to be able to make it to the shop tomorrow ( Friday 18th),

Well... I was somewhat prepared for the rollercoaster ride that was the six-month chemotherapy course; BUT nobody mentioned that the side-effects can actually intensify AFTER the treatment has finished. Here we are two weeks since the final infusion, and my fingers, hands, toes, feet and lower legs are fairly useless. SO, for now, it's rest at home until my bits begin to function properly again.
Meantime, I'll keep my posted shop hours up to date on Facebook and Google search.
Apologies to anyone inconvenienced; and many thanks to all those who've expressed their concern and best wishes regarding my current situation. I REALLY appreciate all the love and support that I've received from everyone ! Thankyou !!!

Many thanks to Ian's Keys and More customers for their patience and understanding during recent times; especially some who are still waiting for a thing which my mind has promised but my body can't deliver ,( or find ). The GOOD NEWS is that chemo finishes on Melbourne Cup Day, and then it's time to work toward building the new and improved Ian ,... and his keys, ... and More !!!
