When we were approached by Peter Lewis a couple of years ago to rectify some issues on the Boss XC, to say it was daunting was an understatement. The XC had won so many awards already including for the interior. So to recreate the doors so that it looked like they had never been touched was a challenge but a challenge we were excited to take.

Each part, apart from the original insert pieces was hand formed using sheet ally. Sooooooo many hours went into these doors but the end result was well worth it.

The colours really pop and you can now see the hydrogen set up so much better!

More than just our hands went into creating these doors. More to come soon ✨

The boot to Boss XC wasn’t redone because it had to be — it was redone to match what the car has become.
With the addition of a new hydrogen setup, the space needed to do more than just house components. It needed to present them in a way that felt intentional, and in line with the rest of the build.
The goal was simple — not to hide it, but to highlight it. Clean structure, balanced layout, and a finish that makes the system part of the car’s story, not just something added to it.

When creating any interior piece, it has to happen in stages.

Designs need to be visualised on the actual pieces, so that we can see what it will look like, and more importantly, the owner can see what it will look like. That's exactly what we did on the boot. We had a concept on paper but when we put that design on the boot panels, it didn't work. Lines were wrong and nothing worked well together. Something as simple as masking tape and a nikko pen can help bring a design to life.

Before anything is trimmed in it's final material, everything needs to be gapped to allow for that material. The gaps in the photos shown are in their early stages and needed tweaking. Sanding down gaps takes time but it makes all the difference.

We shaped the boot to house something a little different this time — where function and presentation need to work as one.

Early stages of the fabrication meant we had to get rid of the old, and modify the original structure. So we could highlight something a little different 🧐

Some cars come through the workshop once.

Others come back.

We’ve had the privilege of working on this one before — and not long ago it returned for an upgrade, an upgrade to highlight something very different.

It’s always a great feeling to see a car come back through the workshop for its next stage.

More to come.

The MGB!! What a change we made to this interior!! It came in like a standard MGB, black vinyl seats that were tired and saggy, woodgrain everywhere and a pack away hood that if you got caught in the rain, you wouldn't even bother getting out to put it up.

The main goal for the MGB was to install a folding frame, make headrests and install some more sturdy seat belts. We did these and so much more!!
