Bruan is hard at work! 🔧

In this photo, Bruan is carrying out a brake service, which is one of the most important maintenance items on any vehicle. Brakes are a critical safety component, and regular inspections help ensure everything is operating correctly and safely.

During a brake service, the brake pads, rotors, callipers and other related comportments are checked for wear and damage. Replacing worn parts before they fail helps maintain braking performance, improves vehicle safety and can prevent more costly repairs down the track.

Bruan is continuing to build his skills and knowledge in the workshop every day. His willingness to learn and attention to detail are helping him become a well-rounded mechanic, and we're proud to see his confidence growing with every job he takes on. 👏🛻💨

Tip Tuesday! 🚙

If your steering wheel shakes when you hit the brakes, don’t automatically assume your brake rotors are warped. While that’s a common cause, it could also be worn brake pads, suspension components, wheel bearings, tyre issues, or even a sticking brake caliper.

Ignoring the problem can lead to bigger repairs and, more importantly, affect your vehicle’s braking performance and safety. If your car is shaking, vibrating, or pulling while braking, it’s best to have it checked sooner rather than later. 🚗🔧

Tip Tuesday! 🚗🔥

For those who may not know, you should never remove a radiator cap while the engine is hot. Doing so can be extremely dangerous.

The coolant inside the cooling system is under pressure and can reach very high temperatures. If the radiator cap is removed while the engine is still hot, hot coolant and steam can spray out suddenly, which may cause serious burns.

So, if you need to remove your radiator cap, always make sure the engine has completely cooled down first. It’s a simple step that can help keep you safe! 😉👍

Here we have the youngest member of the team Bru (Bruan). As Dan’s youngest son, Bru has quickly become a great all-rounder at Urangan Service Centre. One day you’ll find him answering the phones and helping customers, the next he’s out in the workshop giving the boys a hand wherever needed.

Bru is eager to learn the ropes of the mechanical industry and is excited to develop valuable skills for the future. He approaches every new task with pride, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, which has already shown a lot of potential.

He’s also built great customer service skills and is always happy to help out wherever he can. Safe to say, he’s keeping everyone on their toes and probably learning the workshop banter a little too quickly!

We’re excited to watch Bru continue to grow within the team and see where this journey takes him.

Next up we have Damon, better known around the workshop as Damo. Damo is 2.5 years into his apprenticeship and has been doing an outstanding job. He’s thorough with his work, eager to learn, and has developed a great understanding of how things work in the industry.

Not only is Damo reliable in the workshop, but he also brings great customer service to the team. He’s approachable, supportive, and always willing to lend a hand wherever needed — if something needs doing, Damo is usually already onto it before anyone asks.

For an apprentice, he’s become too handy… we have had to start hiding the easy jobs from him!

We’re proud to have Damo as part of the team and look forward to seeing his skills continue to grow.

We’d like to introduce the newest member of the team, Ryan.

Although Ryan hasn’t been with us for long, he has already become a valued part of the workshop team. It’s been great seeing him settle in, grow more confident each day, and build strong connections with everyone around him.

Ryan brings with him 26 years of experience in the mechanical industry, with 8 of those 26 being in Urangan! Not only a local you may recognise, he also brings along a genuine passion for the trade. Even outside of work, he enjoys spending time working on his project cars, a true reflection of his dedication and love for all things automotive. It’s safe to say Ryan knows his way around a toolbox!

We’re proud to have you on the team Ryan and look forward to the experience and knowledge you bring to the workshop.
