While a wildlife contractor was working at a new development site during the night, things got a little too soft underfoot and they found themselves sitting on the chassis.

After making a decent attempt at digging their way out, this one needed a bit of winching, a further drop in tyre pressures and a quick lesson on beach driving.
Once the tyres were down and the recovery was sorted, it was back on the road and on its way again.

This delivery truck was meant to be dropping off a load and not dropping itself into the dirt!
A bit of loose ground, a bit too much optimism, and suddenly the delivery schedule included an unscheduled recovery stop.
With the right recovery gear and a little patience, we had the truck back on solid ground and ready to get back to business.

A few overseas tourists out exploring WA in their 2WD hire camper van found themselves following Google Maps down a track that was definitely more 4WD adventure than camper van friendly.
A bit of soft sand later and the camper was well and truly bogged.

This Patrol is more than capable of tackling the beach, but even the best 4WDs can struggle when the tyres are left a little too firm for the conditions.
Once the sand gets soft, tyre pressure makes a big difference. A little less air gives you a bigger footprint and helps the Patrol float rather than dig.
A quick recovery, a lesson in tyre pressures, and this Patrol was back on solid ground and ready to keep exploring.

This police vehicle found itself well and truly stuck after a police chase took an unexpected off-road turn without a chance to air down.
Thankfully, getting bogged didn’t stop the chase the boys in blue still managed to catch the bad guy!
That just left one little problem… getting the patrol car back out of the sand.
A bit of recovery work and we had the police vehicle back on solid ground and ready for duty again
Bad guy: caught ✅

Out exploring off-road when the starter motor decided it had done enough and called it quits. No amount of turning the key was going to get this one moving again.
We hooked this one up and recovered the Discovery back to civilisation.
Another off-road recovery where the vehicle didn’t get bogged — it just ran out of mechanical motivation!

A nice country drive for the 6x6 out past Toodyay turned into a recovery job when this Iveco found its front left wheel disappearing into a red dirt drain on the side of the road.
With around 5 tonnes of top-heavy generators hanging precariously on the edge, there wasn’t much room for error.
A bit of stabilising, some careful side-shifting we had the Iveco safely back on the black stuff.
Best part? There was still enough daylight left to get the generators delivered on time.
Another job where taking it slow beats taking chances!
