Congratulations !

🏆 Congratulations to Savannah McDougall, who won the Quiet Achiever category at the YFCC Inspiring Youth Awards last week.

Savannah is a young woman from Burnie who has been recognised as a Quiet Achiever for her selfless support behind the scenes at her family's karting club.

Her dad is President of the Smithton Kart Club, which the family helped re-establish after it closed, and her older brother Noah races and helps keep the club running. While they do that, Savannah looks after her three-year-old brother and other young children, allowing her family to volunteer, race and keep the club going.

She does this patiently and without complaint, while other kids her age are off doing their own thing. Her nominators from the Launceston Kart Club, Louise Sterling and Robin Youd, say she never expects to be noticed, and that is exactly why she deserves recognition.

Congratulations Savannah and thanks Hardings Group for their sponsorship of the 2026 awards.
