BMW R1200GS
Carrying out major service for a good customer and he has asked to fit a new pair of Oxford heated grips as the factory ones were failing.
Upon removal of the original grips and only to confirm why I dislike BMW’s even more I’ve found the grip is also the bloody twist tube that pulls on the cable 🙄 how stupid can manufactures be seriously!!!!
New replacement grips from BMW were well over $1000 and of course had to order so not good when the customer is heading away in less than a week.
Only option is to scratch make a whole new twist grip assembly to suit the new heated grip, I do take pride in the fact that not many shops out there would or could do stuff like this, and still winds up much cheaper then new genuine replacement grips,
