How's this clean monaro we had the pleasure of tuning!

After a cam installation and tune from a well known shop, This auto monaro had bad habits that made the vehicle less desirable to drive and a little dangerous. With stalling poor idle terrible drivability terrible transmission tuning this coupe was far from completed . But we see this alot ! 😔 with the othershop unable to resolve the problems after multiple attempts and some silly excuses . It was time for us to have a look.
Making a new base file that suited the engines modifications was the first step in the right direction.
After some fine tuning on road with the customer and some solid dyno time the monaro was performing as it should and more to how the customer expected it should of driven when the job was originally completed from the previous shop.

How's Sam's YZF we had the pleasure of tuning! We reconfigured the Haltec Elite 550 that another tuner had created a speed density configuration. We also carefully set it using a TPS based configuration to better suit the engines characteristics of low vacuum and short intake runners, similar to how the factory tune them. The engine is a Ducati 659 twin cylinder, out of a road bike. Sam knows how to make some cool toys.

Run up making a 144Kw on a factory tune
After a operating system upgrade and Retune we netted 194Kw with no other changes .
This new tune is set up for the extra load and weight of the patrol with economy and torque as a priority .

Heres some Old School Diesel Tuning! That's right this one's a mechanical pump LN106
This 1994 2.8l Turbo diesel powered hilux started off with a very mild 59kw running some fresh modifications, This one supports a front mount intercooler 10mm pump and he200wg turbo this little 2.8 was ready for some tuning love .

After modifications to the pump and a great amount of test and tuning to find what was best the performance gain is like day and night . With conservative exhaust gas temperatures a moderate boost level this 2.8l packs some punch
Check out the gains approximately 130nm more torque making a strong 97kw .

Ls1 manual crewman in for a custom Retune

Already cammed and had previously been tuned with the factory air intake and full exhaust making around the 250kw mark .
Not knowing the cam specs makes it harder to judge the vehicles power expectations but after driving and run up on the dyno we get an idea
Of the cam specs , small to mid camshaft likely in the mid 220s duration on a 112 lobe sep angle is a quick guess . 💁‍♂️

Now fitted with a vcm plastic otr intake the engine can breath fresh cold air as it needs .❄️
On the rollers with a custom operating system upgrade and full Retune this beast pumped out a strong 285rwkw with a super strong torque curve. these are results we like to see knowing it was last dynoed around the 250kw mark .
With this new intake and tune this ls1 will be sharp and strong right through the rpm range and a pleasure to drive , it's great knowing the vehicle and tune is now set up as it should be 🤗

Here's some exciting results of our new stage 2 jpike torque camshaft fitted to a gu nissan patrol let's look at the modifications and vehicle set up .

Yes you read correctly 257kw on 37" tires 🫨
This combination with a stock cam would usaly be lucky to make 200kw on 37s with variables with intake exhaust and tune . Results speak for themselves.

Gippsland dyno tuning is now releasing 2 camshafts for use on the ls series engines in heavy vehicles after years of testing various camshafts of our own and other brands we are excited to release our own to the public .
These cams are designed for a wide range of power and giving as much torque as possible from idle to rev limit .

The stage 1 camshaft is a real torque cam for making as much torque as possible off idle aiming for optimal economy . This cam has a Factory idle and out performs the factory cam everywhere with huge torque increase everywhere .

The stage 2 camshaft has a mild idle that can be tuned to sound more aggressive than it is or can be smoothed out to a stock sounding cam , this cam has factory manners designed for use with a stock convertor . This cam has a wider rpm range with extended top end ,while maintaining massive torque from idle up .
With our dyno we have had the ability to test our camshafts as well as others over a long period and find what works .

Check out the results below in a gu nissan patrol
L77 factory cam tuned vs the jpike stage 1 cam tuned this engine has a DOD delete and the heads cnc ported by Blackwell Race Engines . This combo runs single 3" exhaust with a custom air intake , Very basic set up with results that don't lie .
