I am interested to know how many small family businesses have been able to access the goverment supported small business loans in Townsville and by small i dont mean the 50 million dollar a year turn over "small" business. I mean the mom, dad and a couple of employees small business that scrape maybe 500 - 700 grand a year gross before wages are paid before tax and super and the all the other bills that go along with having a business. you know the ones where a 80 hour week is the norm for the owners?

The ones where you get a couple of hours a week to see your kids or grandkids in my case if your lucky or not too damn tried to do more then grab a feed and sleep. Anyway I am going a bit off track. I made a application for a 35 grand loan with one of the lenders who are part of the government approved lenders for this scheme, 35 not 250 mind you and I was told I could not be approved because I have other loans.

Now the loans they are talking about are ones we got last year to cover us after the floods hit Townsville last year when the city's economy wasn't the best and we had one of our biggest suppliers of work shut their doors for 3 months. The loans the government are spruiking have a 6 month payment free period to begin with then you have 2 years to pay it back. The loans that I have now will be finished and all paid at the latest in September of this year, well before any payment would to have be made on the loan we applied for. So am I missing something here?

Once again we find ourselves in need of a panel be**er. Moral of the story is I guess dont ask people to do their jobs properly or they will quit. So if by chance their is a panel be**er out there who still has pride in his trade and looking for a job gives us a call.

A warning to other small business in Townsville. Be wary of dealing with Adam Davis of Townsville Auto Group he lies, screws you with your prices, renegs on deals then gaslights you into thinking its your fault then doesnt pay outstanding invoices for work done.
