Rear diffs in the 1500 take a hammering — tow work, off-road, just daily load — and when they start whining or clunking, a lot of shops don't have the setup or the stock to deal with it properly. We do. Right hoist, the parts already sitting on the shelf, and a crew that's pulled enough of these apart to know exactly what's going on before the cover's even off.

Very common issue here with the hzj75 transfer case input gear, they wear the main shaft splines down as they have a small engagement area onto the shaft.

Here’s an example of someone attempting to resolve this issue by welding it to the spacer and then to the PTO drive gear, causing catastrophic failure when the welds let go and punching a hole through the casing.

We resolve this issue by upgrading to a modified gear that engages on a much larger area of the main shaft.

Self servicing is fine. However we highly recommend every 2nd or 3rd service to be done by a professional as there are things that should be checked beyond the engine and it's oil.
