What a week of racing at MIRW
This year was extra special and exciting, because we love supporting our local big race, & entered both Ragamuffin 111 (skippered by Fletcher) & Samurai (skippered by Stu)- both boats competed in Spinnaker Division 2. A bit of father verse son rivalry.
We appreciate all our crew for their effort, 95% of which we had never met & some travelled as far from Tasmania, Perth, Melbourne & Sydney.
Considering we all have never raced together, we had crew with some experience to totally being green(but you have to start somewhere), we are proud of both boats & crew, especially finishing the regatta with no crew injuries or boat breakages.
Samurai achieved her best result in our favourite race- 'Around the island', circumnavigating Maggie, coming 2nd.

Thank you to everyone involved for their hard work to ensure the race week 2026 was a huge success again.
Also, thank you to all the yachts that competed- we adore catching up with all our sailing friends and love meeting new faces too.
