The RX7 had its first outing at Springmount Raceway since the engine rebuild after the 20B engine was hurt at the Jamboree last August. The fuel system had some modifications made & this made it run extremely rich at the start. After several passes & removing some fuel the car was running reasonable. Was only running 32lb boost on the passes. Will increase in future. The rear suspension & differential setup was also all new. The new settings appeared to have solved some of the inconsistency that we had on the start line. The last pass time card is in photo's. This event was only 1/8 mile racing. Like to thank Billetpro & Promaz Automotive & Simon Ioannou for all there help.

The 20B Billetpro engine is all together & running after the rebuild to fix the problem we had at the Brisbane Jamboree. All the machining & balancing was done by Promaz Automotive. Ready to race as soon as Palmyra Drag Racing Club Inc start their season & Springmount Raceway gets going again in 2026..

Ok facebook friends. See if you can help with this before i have to order 2 new rims....

I'm after 2 rims for the rear of the RX7 race car to suit the new differential set up.... rims need to be - 15" x 12" with a 5 x 5 bolt circle & 3.50" back space. ... I know it is a long shot but no harm in asking.

20B Billetpro engine all back together & ready to put back in RX7 after repairing it from the detonation problem it had at the Brisbane Jamboree. All the machining & balancing etc done by Promaz Automotive. RX7 is also getting a new rear end. Changing over to a fully floating axle set-up with new 4 link, shock mounts, panard, wheelie bars etc. Car will be ready for testing at Palmyra Drag Racing Club Inc early in the year & then a big season of racing at Palmyra & Springmount Raceway when it gets going....

Look what we got back. After being stolen a few years ago & thinking it was gone forever it has been recovered. Other than being a bit rusty for being out in the weather it is 95% the same as when it was stolen. Now to clean it up, repaint & get it registered.

A bit of a report of our weekend away racing at Willowbank raceway attending the Jamboree. Friday was testing with various results. Saturday was qualifying. We had 3 passes on Saturday but on the third pass a few things happened.

There was a report of sparks from under the car & the track staff was seen picking up debris from the track. There was a lot of various things said about this. The truth is.... sparks would have been from the clutch that is designed to slip on start line & can sometimes have sparks. Normally you can't see this but the light conditions must have been correct on this occasion.... the debris on the track was from the RH rear wheel arch. We had been suffering tyre shake problems all weekend. On this occasion the tyre shake was so bad the tyre distorted & grabbed the wheel arch & bent it in. By doing this it tore out some fibreglass & support piping & this fell onto track... One this pass the engine also cut out. On inspection back at the pits the engine was found to have lost compression on the rear rotor. Obviously this meant we couldn't compete on the Sunday. Since the weekend the engine has been taken out & inspected. The engine had suffered detonation & damaged the rotor. This means with only a couple of meetings left for the year it isn't worth rushing a repair & we will be out until the 2026 season starts.
