A planned outage that we were unaware of and didnt plan for so turning off the phones and having some recovery time.

Sharing something a little bit different today. An internet inspired recycled IBC Outdoor shower. Just add a door and some plumbing. I’ll update the photos when completed next weekend.

The perfect pub feed 10/10

The photo’s don’t do justice.

Merinda Village Hotel has just put on a new chef tonight and delivered perfection.
With the old skool L-shaped bar and nothing fancy, this little gem reminded me of north Qld olden days.

10 mins or less north of Bowen, just off the Bruce HWY, they have caravan sites available and my recommendation.

It’s good to see this old lotus in the shed that i very likely had a hand in building 14 years ago.
The track from the front shade has let go and caused a leak in the front end requiring a new front wall but otherwise this is still in really good condition from the golden age of Lotus caravans.

We’re starting to get really busy at the new work shop in Bowen and with the Nomads season nearly upon us, make enquiries now and beat the rush.

Cyclone Koji reminding us all that Mother Nature reigns supreme! This boat washed ashore and partially sunk off rose bay.
Luckily the cyclone slowed by the time it hit land.

Last picture is the mighty Don river flowing. Most of the year this river is a trickle at best.
We would like to wish everyone well in the region but especially Mackay and surrounds. I’ve heard a few horror stories out of there.

Busy Busy @ Bowen getting all set up!

While the Townsville team are closing for a well earned rest from 19th December until the 12th of January, Bowen has much to do and is not stopping.
Limited availability as we keep preparing for the inevitable wet season. No trade hours, if i pick up the phone, we’re open. Leave a message and I’ll get back to you when i can.

We’re getting close now.

A very big and very wet motorhome roof completed.
This was our biggest repair completed to date, taking approximately 4 weeks for an entire ceiling rebuild.
We couldn’t be happier with the results!
