Diesel Care Toowoomba is looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join the workshop team.

You’ll be working on a range of diesel vehicles including 4WD, agricultural and commercial applications, specialising in diesel fuel injection, diagnostics and repairs.

The role includes working with:

✔ Diesel fuel injection systems
✔ Pumps and injectors
✔ Diagnostics and troubleshooting
✔ Dyno performance testing
✔ Modern workshop equipment

Diesel Care Dalby is hiring a full-time 4x4 Accessory Fitter. Work with diesel vehicles, fit 4WD accessories, and assist with dyno tuning.

Modern common rail diesels run on extremely tight tolerances.
Fuel contamination, even in small amounts, can cause expensive damage.

White smoke on start up? That’s one to get checked.

This 2016 Ford Ranger 2.2L (169,786kms) rolled into our Toowoomba workshop blowing white smoke on cold starts. A scan picked up glow plug fault codes, so we replaced the glow plugs and gave the intake a clean.

Compression checked out fine, but the real culprit was injector tip leakage allowing fuel to leak into the cylinder. Add dead glow plugs to the mix and cold starts were always going to be rough.

✅ Intake clean
✅ Genuine glow plugs
✅ 4 new injectors

Now it’s starting clean and running smooth again.

If your 4WD is smoking, hard to start, or just not feeling right, getting it checked early can save you from some nasty repair bills down the track.
