Weekend fun - replacing the all famous 3.6l alloytec timing chains.

These engines are renoun for timing chain issues, this one in particular came to us with cam/crank correlation codes, which from previous experience come down to stretched chains.

Generally speaking poor service history will most definitely speed up the process of having to do this work sooner. This is why it is very important and the kindest thing to do to these engines (and any engine in general) is to change the oil and filter every 10000ks maximum.

We are still alive! Big changes have happened!We are now in Toowoomba 4350!

One of the many cars we've been working on as of lately, this is going to be another workshop build/drift car.

Dirty turbo ecotec! We have just finished up on wiring in the Haltech elite 2500 along with the ic7, wb1, ls1 coils and a bunch of sensors to keep this e85 fueled drift car in check 👌

We are spooling this 3.8 with an aeroflow 6662/3582 coupled with the all favourite turbosmart wg50 wastegate and BOV, all of which will be getting fabbed in quite soon

All this is tied in with full runs of -8 braided fuel lines, 525lph ti automotive fuel pump, 1650cc bosch motorsport injectors and a 56l Aeroflow fuel cell where we were able to neatly recess into the spare wheel well - almost keeping it flush with the boot floor. We then finished the boot off with some floor trimming to make it look a little tidier.

Next on the to do list will be to get the interior all back together, knock out some fab work and finish up a few loose ends (as we all know - takes the longest)

Let's see if this rough old girl get to the next Drift Matsuri!!!

Ali's skyline come over for a complete engine bay strip so he can sandblast and give her a fresh coat of paint 👌
drive in - and loaded up on the trailer in under 5 hours

Now to give the engine a refresh and add some goodies to make this 33 a ripper!

This one is a long term project as Ali doesn't cut any corners when it comes to body work!
Can't wait till the finished product!

Bryan's S14 got some well needed wiring attention, cabin and engine bay loom removed, stripped out everything minus the bare necessities, relocated fuse box to behind dash, pinned in and reworked engine loom to suit haltech 2000 with extra sensors and topped it off with the IC7.. all in all she's about 5kg lighter and looks the goods!

Off she goes back home... tuner time!

The corona got a wiring makeover!! Body/cabin loom removed, all unnecessary wiring binned, fuse box relocation to behind glovebox, engine loom pulled apart and rerun to suit the engine bay/adapted to corona body loom. All checks out fine, now to just replace engine plugs/connectors, run a fuel system and this old girl will be close to fire up!

Lucy getting some dual caliper action.. little bit more bracing and tidy up on the brackets and shell be ready for a lick of paint!
