💳 TIP OF THE WEEK — PAYMENT OPTIONS

Sowerby’s Towing makes organising and paying for your tow as easy as possible.

Our drivers carry a Square card reader, allowing you to pay securely at either pickup or delivery.

Won’t be there in person? No stress—just let our friendly office staff know when booking, and we can arrange payment over the phone.

Simple, convenient and one less thing to worry about!

Another Aussie classic on the move! 🇦🇺

We picked up this old-school HQ Holden from the team at Excel Paint & Panel and safely transported it to its next destination.

There’s something pretty special about seeing one of these beauties out on the road—even if it’s travelling on the back of a Sowerby’s truck! 😍

Are you a Holden fan, and what model do you think this one is?

{BEHIND THE SCENE}

👋 For those who don’t know… meet a couple of the faces behind Sowerbys!

On the right is our fearless leader Terry — the man at the helm of Sowerbys Towing, keeping the wheels turning and the rest of us on our toes. 🚛😂 ( yes I was pressured to write that 😉 😂)

Beside him is his son Nick — part of the next generation of Sowerbys and, dare we say it… next in line. 👀

That’s one of the things we love about being a family business. It’s not just about the trucks or the name on the door — it’s about the people, the history and the family behind it all.

And judging by this Riverfire photo, Terry was taking the responsibility of passing down some very important father-to-son knowledge rather seriously. 😂🍻

Family owned. Family built. Proudly Sowerbys. ❤️💙

👑 TIP OF THE WEEK – KING’S BIRTHDAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY

Monday, 5 October is the King’s Birthday public holiday, so our office will be closed to give our hardworking office team a well-earned day off. Sorry, not sorry! 😜

Our tow trucks, however, don’t take public holidays—Sowerby’s Towing remains available 24/7 for towing and call-outs.

Apologies to our fabulous truck drivers who may still hear the phone ring! 📞🚛

Our office will reopen as usual on Tuesday, 6 October.

What else around Toowoomba is open or closed tomorrow? Share what you know below to help everyone plan their day. 👇

A little piece of motoring history on the move! 🛻

This 1945 Ford F100 is undergoing a full restoration. After having its muffler and exhaust fitted by Muffler Kings, we had the pleasure of transporting it back to Excel Paint & Panel for the next stage of its transformation.

We can’t wait to see this old beauty when she’s finished! 👌

🎉 5 YEARS WITH SOWERBYS! 🚛

Today we’re celebrating a fantastic milestone for Ricky Schubert, who officially clocks up 5 years as part of the Sowerbys Towing team! 👏

Over those five years, Ricky has proven himself to be a dedicated, hardworking and reliable member of our crew. Whether it’s another busy day, an early start or simply getting in and getting the job done, Ricky continues to bring the commitment and work ethic that we value so highly at Sowerbys.

Five years is certainly a milestone worth recognising, and we’d like to take the opportunity to say a genuine thank you, Ricky, for your loyalty, dedication and everything you’ve contributed to Sowerbys over the years.

We’re very lucky to have you as part of the team and look forward to plenty more years ahead! 🚛💪

Congratulations on 5 years, Ricky! 🎉👏

💡 {Tip of the week} – WHERE IS YOUR VEHICLE GOING? 📍

We’ve covered what we need to know about your vehicle and where we’re picking it up — now, where is it going? 🚛

When arranging a tow, having your drop-off details ready helps us get your vehicle where it needs to go without unnecessary delays.

📍 Drop-off address – the full address of where the vehicle is going
👤 Contact person – who are we meeting or speaking with when we arrive? A name and phone number is always helpful
🏠 Where exactly are we leaving it? – workshop, driveway, specific bay, storage yard, side entrance etc.

It may seem simple, but when you’re dealing with a breakdown or unexpected situation, we know it’s easy to forget the little details.

Having this information ready helps our team plan the job and get your vehicle safely from A to B as smoothly as possible. 👍

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICK! 🎉

( yes we got a picture)

A big Happy Birthday to our dispatcher, Rick Wood! 🥳

The man behind the phones, keeping the trucks moving, the jobs organised and somehow managing to keep the rest of us pointed in the right direction! 🚛📞😂

Thanks for everything you bring to the Sowerbys team, Rick. We hope you have a cracking birthday — and with it falling on a Sunday, enjoy the rare luxury of hearing a phone ring and knowing you don’t have to answer it! 😂🙌

Happy Birthday from all of us at Sowerbys Towing! 🎂🎉

🚨 SEE AMBER? SLOW DOWN. 🚨

Those flashing amber lights aren’t just there to make our trucks look pretty at night. 😉

When you see a tow truck stopped or working roadside with its amber lights flashing, there’s a good chance one of our drivers is outside the truck, loading a vehicle or working close to passing traffic.

⚠️ Slow down.
↔️ Give us space where it’s safe to do so.
👀 Stay alert and keep your eyes on the road.

Our drivers spend their days helping people when things haven’t quite gone to plan — and at the end of every shift, we want to see them come home safely too.

So next time you see those amber lights ahead, take your foot off the accelerator and give our crew a little extra room.

See amber. Slow down. Give them space. 🚛💙

🎉 2 YEARS WITH THE SOWERBYS CREW! 🚛

Today marks 2 years since Scott Freiberg joined the team at Sowerbys Towing!

Scott is one of our bogie truck drivers and also happens to be our resident man of mystery. 😂 Always busy, always on the move and apparently extremely talented at avoiding the camera — so after two years, we still don’t have a decent photo of him to share! 📸👀

What we do have is a reliable, hardworking bloke who gets on with the job and has become a valued part of the Sowerbys team.

Thanks for two great years, Scott! We appreciate everything you bring to the crew and look forward to plenty more years (and hopefully eventually a photo 😂) to come.

🚛 Happy 2-year Sowerbys anniversary, Scott! 🎉
