Runs first up tonight for the new yard in Race 4. No love in the market to date may need the run?

Ex NSW galloper Fagin has joined the local Troy Pascoe yard. He hasn't fired for a while, perhaps the new surroundings will switch him on? He certainly looked more alert running down the leader in a trial here yesterday morning.

Going around tonight in R3 we don't get the step up in distance unfortunately however down plenty class with a claim for Chloe Lowe to help offset the weight rise looks very competitive.

Race 5 - 1625m MADALSA (Pat Webster) Highlighted (purple, black cap). On the 7-day back up, rising in class & having her third consecutive run around the mile range she rattled home after settling last in the run not aided by a sluggish start. Looks ready for a step up in distance.

Meet the 2026 Face of Weetwood – Tiffany Lawrence.

A passionate advocate for racing, country life, fashion and community, Tiffany will be joining us throughout the lead-up to this year's 1EQUINE Weetwood Carnival, sharing behind-the-scenes moments, showcasing everything the carnival has to offer and bringing you along for the journey.

Originally drawn to the Darling Downs through family connections to the racing industry, Tiffany has embraced the region's country lifestyle and built a loyal following as a travel and lifestyle content creator, inspiring others to get out, explore and experience new adventures.

When asked why she wanted to become the Face of Weetwood, Tiffany said it was an easy decision.

"I'd love to be the Face of Weetwood Race Day because it genuinely aligns with who I am and the lifestyle I love. I'm passionate about racing, country culture, fashion, community, and creating experiences people want to be part of."

Over the coming weeks, you'll be seeing plenty of Tiffany as she counts down to one of Queensland's most iconic country race days.

Tidy effort turned in by the Nick Keal trained mare Thats Archies Girl in the opener at Doomben on Saturday.
Back on the rail in a slowly run race she picked up late making good ground, her final 400m was the quickest of the entire meeting, he final 200m fourth quickest.
She's in good form & ready to break through this prep 💰

This one goes around at Ipswich tomorrow & will be big odds. Yes, the race is a tougher one however it's not the strongest of maidens & he gets a little further. Worth a couple of $ each-way just incase he measures up... 🤞

Race 5 - 1000m OLD WERMATONG (Michael Frappell)
Blinkers 1st time - highlighted (red sleeves railing to 3rd early in the straight). Just start number two for this 4yo gelding who ran up to a couple of trial placings making good ground on the winner & clocking a similar sectional home. Should enjoy a step up in distance next time around.

Eye catcher from Saturday night's meeting 🔎👀 (part 1 of 1)
Race 2 - 1210m SHINING PROISIR (Brooke Mackie) Highlighted (black, white horsehead, banner and stars, white and black halved sleeves, yellow cap, black stars) First outing for 406 days & no official lead-up trials yet was solid in the market around the double-figure quote. Gave away a decent start yet really found the line late almost running down the winner. Only lightly raced he's obviously had some issues along the way however should he stay sound will surely be winning again soon.
