😂 REMEMBER WHEN "GOING ONLINE" MEANT SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT? 😂

Kids these days will never understand...

Back in our day, "going online" meant grabbing hold of the old Hills Hoist clothesline and swinging around as fast as you could until someone got dizzy, flew off, or Mum yelled at you to stop! 🤣

Just a metal clothesline, a backyard full of imagination, and a healthy disregard for personal safety. 😂 Sometimes it feels like we grew up in a simpler time — no smartphones, no tablets, just bikes, backyards, and finding ways to entertain ourselves until the streetlights came on.
No Wi-Fi.
No passwords.
No charging cables.

Only in Toowoomba... So I stopped to get fuel at a local bowser and to get a drink this afternoon.

As I drove up, I noticed these 2 coppers watching a man who was smoking while fueling his car! I saw him and thought, is this guy stupid, crazy, or both especially with the cops standing right there.. But anyways, I minded my own business and went inside and got a drink. As I was paying for my stuff, I heard someone screaming!! Like I’m talkin’ violent death screams I looked outside and I saw that this man’s arm was on fire! He was swinging his arm, running around going nuts!

When I got outside the police had the man on the ground and they were putting out the fire Then they put handcuffs on him and threw him in the cop car..

I was thinking, arrested? Shouldn’t he be in an ambulance not a cop car? So, being my nosey a$$ self I asked the police what they were arresting him for?
He looked at me dead serious and said, “Waving a firearm”!!

🚜🌾 DAY ONE OUT OF THE WORKSHOP 🌾🚜

Today we swapped spanners for FarmFest and spent the day checking out everything on offer at this year’s event.

It was definitely a little on the windy side 🌬️, but that didn’t stop us from having a fantastic day. There was plenty to see, lots of great displays, innovative equipment, and we enjoyed catching up with familiar faces along the way like our oil supplier!

After spending days in the workshop, it was nice to get out and about, see what’s happening in our local community, and take in everything FarmFest has to offer.

Tomorrow we are off to the Gold Coast

🚗☀️ CLOSED FOR A SHORT BREAK ☀️🚗

Vali Garage will be taking a short break and will be closed from Thursday 4th June, returning on Tuesday 9th June, while we head off to enjoy a few days at Cooly Rocks On! 🎸🏁

For Ross and Mrs Vali, attending Cooly Rocks On has been a dream for many years, so we're excited to finally be making the trip. After a busy few months, we're looking forward to soaking up the atmosphere, admiring some incredible classic cars, enjoying the live music, and recharging the batteries.

Don't worry — we're sure there'll be plenty of photos and stories to share when we return! 📸🚘

We'll be back on Tuesday, refreshed and ready to help with all your servicing, repairs, and mechanical needs.

A LITTLE UPDATE from Mrs Vali 💛

Back in November 2025, Tiffany experienced a seizure, and in an instant life changed quite a bit behind the scenes at Vali Garage.

For the past 7 months, due to losing her driver’s licence following the seizure, Mrs Vali has been working quietly from home while focusing on her health, recovery, and finding a new normal.

It has been a challenging season filled with countless specialist appointments, tests, doctor visits, uncertainty, and plenty of emotional ups and downs. But through it all, we have also felt an incredible amount of love, kindness, patience, and support from our customers, friends, family, and community.

We are so grateful to now say that Tiffany’s health is improving, and her licence is due for approval in the coming weeks 🙌

Which means… Mrs Vali will soon be back where she belongs — alongside Ross in the workshop 😊

For those who know us personally, you know Vali Garage has always been built on family, teamwork, honesty, and standing side by side through every season of life. This chapter has reminded us just how blessed we are to have such amazing people around us.

Thank you for every message, every kind word, every bit of patience, and every customer who continued to support our small family business during this time. We truly cannot put into words how much it has meant to us 💙

We are beyond excited for this next chapter and getting back to normal life together at the workshop again.

Friday afternoon at Vali Garage and the RNT team tackled a fun dirty little job — replacing the handbrake shoes & rear brake pads on this 2012 Toyota Prado 👌

There’s something pretty special about getting back on the tools alongside hubby Ross again. Mrs Vali was right at home in the workshop today 💙💛
