A reminder that not all damage is permanent 👇
A few weeks ago, Graeme brought in his brand new Kia Sportage with severe water spotting across the paint, glass, and exterior trims 🚗💦 Even though it had been ceramic coated by the dealership, the mineral etching was so deep you could actually feel the ridges with your fingernail.
The dealership had already tried to sort it out without success, and a local detailer had also attempted machine polishing with very little improvement. At that stage, the recommendation was a full respray and trim replacement 😬
Before going down that road, Graeme came to us for a second opinion.
Water spot removal isn’t just about polishing harder — it’s about understanding the chemistry behind the damage 🧪 Using targeted chemical decontamination and controlled correction, we were able to remove over 95% of the spotting while preserving the original factory finish ✨
The vehicle was then sealed with Modesta BC-X for long-lasting gloss and protection 🛡️
A good result, but more importantly, a good reminder: before committing to major repairs, it’s worth getting a specialist opinion ✅
