Well, well, well… the time has finally come!
My own VF Clubsport has spent far too long on the back burner while we’ve been busy building everyone else’s awesome cars. I finally kicked myself into gear and decided it was time to drop the engine in and finish this thing.
Under the bonnet is a Dart LSX 427ci, topped with Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Boost Monster 6-bolt heads and a Harrop 2650i supercharger pushing just over 20 psi of boost.
The car has been set up with flex fuel, so it’ll happily run on 98 octane, E85, or anything in between. Power is sent through a TK Performance TH400 transmission, a TCE 6-bolt billet converter, and a 3.27 Truetrac differential.
The result? An absolute animal on the street, while still being civil enough to drive every day with fully functioning air conditioning and cruise control.
This has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait to put some kilometres on it and see what it’ll do at the track.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this build happen. Special thanks to:
