What arrived at Rock & Dirt Recycling as clean concrete waste has been repurposed into DGB20 recycled road base, produced in accordance with RMS3051 specifications.

Through extensive sorting, crushing, screening, and testing, this material is transformed into a high-quality product that supports a range of civil and infrastructure projects across Sydney, proving that recovered materials can deliver both performance and sustainability on-site.

By diverting valuable materials from landfill and returning them to the construction cycle, we continue to create practical and sustainable solutions for the construction industry.

Great projects aren’t built by individuals; they’re built by teams.

Working alongside the team at MOITS on the Halifax Street, Macquarie Park project, Rock & Dirt Recycling is proud to support the demolition works through recycling and resource recovery, helping ensure construction materials continue to deliver value beyond demolition.

Behind every load is a coordinated effort between operators, drivers, and supervisors, all working towards the same goal. It’s this collaboration between contractors and project partners that keeps projects moving safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Building better outcomes, together.🧱♻️

Every demolition creates an opportunity for recovery.

Each year, Australia generates approximately 27 million tonnes of construction and demolition waste—around 40% of the country’s total waste stream. As Australia’s largest waste-generating sector, the industry has a significant role to play in resource recovery and recycling.

While much of this material is now recovered, it still relies on specialised processing to be transformed into usable products for future construction and infrastructure projects.

At Rock & Dirt Recycling, that’s exactly what we do. Through the recovery, processing and supply of recycled materials, we help support major civil and infrastructure projects while contributing to more sustainable outcomes across the industry.

Turning waste into valuable resources.

Our team is helping drive sustainability outcomes at the IGLU Kensington project by recovering demolition and excavation materials and supplying recycled products back into the construction process.

To date, our resource recovery efforts have delivered significant results:
• 1,127 tonnes of concrete recycled
• 220 tonnes of asphalt recycled
• Over 2,600 tonnes of soils and sand processed
• 1,933 tonnes of recycled road base supplied

In partnership with Moits and FDC Construction & Fitout, this project highlights the positive impact of circular construction practices, reducing landfill while maximising the value of recovered materials.
