🎉 She did it! Licence secured! 🚗💯

A huge congratulations to my teenage student on passing her driving test on her second attempt! 👏

Failing a test can be disappointing, but what matters is how you respond. She came back, worked on the areas that needed improvement, built her confidence and put it all together when it mattered.

Seeing a young learner grow from being a learner driver into a safe and confident driver is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Well done! You earned it. 🙌

**New learner driving test tips **

ROUNDABOUT — LEVEL 1

You don’t need to wait until the roundabout is completely clear.

At a busy roundabout, waiting for every vehicle to pass may mean you never get a chance to enter.

Instead:

Slow down.
Observe the traffic.
Give way where required.
Enter when a safe gap is available.

The goal is not to wait for an empty roundabout.

It’s to recognise a safe opportunity to proceed.

🚗 Stay calm. Observe carefully. Make a safe decision.

Sunset glare can hide cars. 🌅🚗

When the sun is low and directly in your eyes, spotting oncoming traffic can become surprisingly difficult.

In this video, compare the two oncoming cars — one with Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and one without.

The car with its lights on is much easier to notice.

💡 Don’t wait until it’s dark to turn your headlights on.
If visibility is reduced by sunset glare, rain, fog or overcast conditions, turning your headlights on can help you see and be seen.

Good driving isn’t just about seeing the road — it’s about making sure others can see you too.

Revesby driving test tips

The 3-second following distance is a great safety rule, but don’t forget one important thing.

On real roads, many drivers travel 5–10 km/h over the speed limit. If you focus only on maintaining the same gap and keep accelerating to match them, you could end up speeding too.

A safe driver balances both:
✅ Maintain a safe following distance.
✅ Stay within the speed limit.

Don’t let the driver in front determine your speed. Drive your own drive.
