We had a few minor issues back in May at the Nitros… 😅
As you can see from the photos below, the headers/collectors decided they no longer wanted to be part of the team and tried to make a dramatic exit! 😂
Just one of those little racing problems… or so we thought!
After plenty of head-scratching and staring at the empty space, I came up with a plan for a set of proper race-style zoomies. I had the whole setup mapped out in my head, then headed over to our good friends at Davies Customs turn the idea into reality.
Gareth and Brody absolutely knocked it out of the park! 👏🔥 The finished setup looks incredible and should sound every bit as wild as it looks.
While that was happening, the gearbox was sent off to Al's Race Glides, where Al worked his magic and fitted his latest technology. We can’t wait to see how it performs.
The blower also went away for its first service, so a huge thanks to Wayne Jones for getting that sorted.
And, of course, another big thank you to our transport guys, Simon-Angela and Rob for dropping everything off and bringing it all back safely.
A massive thanks to the entire Hewitt Racing team for all their help and support. Hopefully, we’ll see a five-second pass very soon with our Westend Performance engine package, tuned by Kon.
It’s been a busy few weeks behind the scenes, but the car is coming back stronger, sharper and ready for the next round! 🔥🏁
