Post surgery brain fog is a thing apparently, this engine build has had me scratching my head as it’s been apart too long and the crank I brought for it years ago was the the later 750 monster crank…oh well road trip tomorrow for the right crank and then I can shim this one for the tenth time🥺

Not too shabby, a lot of prep work done well before even attempting to start it for the first time.
Oil change, fresh fuel, pre primed the engine oil and checked oil flow to the head and now she’s all good…still a stack to do but the hard part is done.

Owner did a compression test on this engine and was concerned it was only 50psi, trick to remember is you must have the throttle wide open otherwise there’s no induction to compress hence the low readings.
We did our own test as per video.

sorting out some issues, reset the float heights and check jetting, all good and found one float binding so that’s rectified and all running again.
