Welcome to the new Cackling Pipes website – if it’s extreme and bleeds horsepower we plan to cover it with high quality imagery. Our focus will be on NSW based events primarily, with highlights from around the land, plus the wildest stuff from around the world. From street to strip, or runs on the blacktop, dirt or water – we will feature it. If you have an event you would like us at then drop us

The launch of this new site marks 20 years since Cackling Pipes first appeared on the internet – we were the first dedicated drag racing news site in Australia – and after various format changes we are sort of getting back to our roots with our site content. Our new venture is bold and we plan to give love to a range of extreme horsepower motorsports that don’t get much mainstream coverage, including drag racing, burnouts, speedway, boats and anything else pumps out the ponies and gets the adrenaline flowing. As said, we will be focusing on Sydney-based events and surrounding areas, but will be branching out in our travels for highlights from around the country. We will always consider any contributions for the site of local or interstate events as well. Staff

The landing for Mr Shifter and its slick new look was a tough one this time around. Fingers crossed Simon can get everything sorted and have the old Vintage Gasser back where it belongs — launching hard and putting on a show again very soon. Wishing the team a smooth rebuild and a quick return to action.

A few highlight shots from last weekend's Round 3 of the NSW Track Championship! 📸🏁

Unfortunately, the cold weather and heavy dew won the battle this time around, bringing racing to an early end before the event could be completed.

There was still plenty of great action on track though, so enjoy a small selection of our favourite snaps while we work through the rest of the images.
